Another exciting project with my friends at GNU Snowboards (view past collaborations Here). The 'Beauty & Beast' Series is a pair of all-mountain boards, for her and him. Pictured here is The Beast (also check The Beauty). Always a fun process from concept to execution. This set takes cues from tribal art and ambigrams, with a futuristic twist. Nestled into the top graphics are cryptic geo-cursive type treatments for the board names (above and below the center square).
The design began with this central G-N-U diamond and grew symmetrically with type interwoven.
It has been over a year since I worked on this, so it's rad to finally share. These are for the 2014/2015 season so make sure to tell Your Local Shop to get them on the racks. Thanks much Tim. Good times!
