Remixed : Cosmos Poster Series.

The newest addition to my Online Store : Remixed Cosmos Posters. A set of three prints that I originally released in 2008 in a Blue, Black, Grey palette, now available in hot Red, Orange, Yellow. I kept the architecture of each graphic true to the originals. The only modifications are in the backgrounds where I added some noise and texture. Very pleased with how they turned out. Click-Zoom.
A closer look from behind a magnifying glass. On point.
As always, this series is a Limited Run and each poster is Signed, Dated, and Numbered (x/100). Now Available at the MWM Graphics Online Shop. Ready for frames. Enjoy!

Mathematics In Motion.

I had fun painting this one today. Tried a few new things with my process and layering techniques. I intentionally left the raw wall scrawls as a background in an attempt to have the geometry of the piece hovering and growing towards the viewer. Click-Zoom.
I also tried a new technique of cut lines on the edges of the floating polyhedrons. This worked really well. I can't wait to build an entire spider web style mural like this.

Friday Flashback : 2003 Blueprint.

Came across this sketch from way back while we were moving a few weeks ago. This was from the days when I'd spend hours finessing a sketch before going to the wall to paint it. These days I usually go for a spontaneous freestyle process. I never got around to painting this one, so I'm trying to muster up the courage and patience to bang it out before the end of summer. Maybe with the fill playing off the hourglass vibe. Glassy and sand falling through each letter. Click-Zoom.

MocoLoco : My State Of The Art.

MocoLoco : "From Portland to Paris, Matt W. Moore works his signature "vectorfunk" style through digital illustrations, paintings and massive aerosol murals. MWM's work gets more exciting all the time and his colours show no sign of fading..."

Studio Co-Pilot.

Our puppy Picasso is 8 months old now. He hit the ground running (and hasn't stopped) in his new role, Coordinator of Work/Life Balance here at MWM Graphics. He even unplugs my computer when it's time for a snack or a walk around the block.

Greyscale Galaxy.

Just rocked this one at the annual Portland, Maine Wall of Fame jam. This year's theme is Stephen King and the color palette is black, white, greys, and reds. Stay tuned for photos of the completed production in the next couple days. Over 20 New England graffiti cats painting pieces inspired by different King Movies. Click-Zoom.
I was going for a Dreamcatcher vibe mixed with Constellations and Molecules. I'm pleased with how it turned out, but I suppose it needs some feathers, beads, and rabbit ribs hanging from it to be a legit (Have you seen the movie?) Dreamcatcher. Oh well, I'll do those on the next one. Good times!

My New Office.

We've been moving for the past couple weeks. Finally getting things arranged and plugged in here in my Design Studio. Excited to be in this new space. Much bigger than my last studio space, great natural light, and a steady coastal breeze. Stay tuned in the coming weeks for photos of my new Art Studio as well. After successfully keeping 3 plants alive in my last space for over a year, I decided it was time to create a proper Window Jungle and Cactus Garden. Fingers crossed. Next up, Bonsai Trees!
I've been rocking the milk crate and plywood bookshelves for many years. Much like the occasional PB&J sandwich, they are a constant reminder of my humble beginning as an entrepreneur. I may be sitting in a Herman Miller chair, but these shelves will always be behind me.

MWM X Aspiral Clocks.

This Product Collaboration definitely makes my 2010 highlight reel! I recently worked with Aspiral Clocks (London) on mandala graphics for their revolutionary (no pun intended) innovation on the wall clock. Available Now in these 3 designs. Click-Zoom. Spin. Spin. Spun.
"The Aspiral Clock is a self-spinning timepiece, whose movement drives a ball along a spiral ledge until it reaches the center. The observer can tell the time by looking at the position of the ball. If it’s at the center point between 2 and 3, for instance, then it’s 2:30. Once the ball reaches the center of the clock, it drops into a hole and comes out of the same opening where it originated."
