Round Trip Series : Preview # 1.

I'm all moved in at my new painting studio and have been working away on this new series of circle canvases for the Round Trip Group Exhibition at Flatcolor Gallery in Seattle. The show opens on August 4th. Gonna be a good one! Here's a sneak peek at one of the five canvases I am working on. And pictured below is a "Work-In-Progress" shot of the early layering phase.

Yoga Logo : Exploration.

I recently worked with a cool Brooklyn Yoga Studio called Urban Asanas on an exploration that resulted in a new ornate logo crest (Bottom right with Ganesh). Some key points addressed : flow, energy, symmetry, and an overall uplifting vibe. Designing logos and branding is one of my favorite Graphic Design disciplines. Check out my Logo Archive. Really mixed it up on this series. Started out with wet washes of white ink on black watercolor paper and then refined the forms with intricate illustrative details. My favorite and most detailed B/W series yet.

Our Power Juicer has been staying busy with all the affordable fresh produce available this time of year. I alternate between Veggie Medleys and Fruity ones like the ingredients above. Good stuff. A delicious avalanche of vitamins and antioxidants.

Time To Get Busy...

I'm out here in Barcelona this week for the amazing OFFF Design Festival. I'll be painting a nice big mural on this wall over the course of the 3-day event and speaking about my work. Great fun!

Cover Design : BIG UP # 10.

This was a huge honor to work on! BIG UP Magazine # 10 : The Influencers & Tastemakers Issue. Hyper detailed mandala with the title nestled into one of the rings and the "10" vibrating (like it's in a bass tube). Also managed to get a mysty infinity loop to encompass the logo and center ring (like 2 records being mixed). Lots of fun. I also have a nice Q&A Feature in this issue. Big Thanks to Katya & Crew!
