Crystals & Lasers : Mega Mural.

Last week I got busy on this MEGA GeoFunk Mural on an elementary school across the street from Since Gallery (211 rue Saint-Maur. Paris, France). I'm hyped with how it turned out, and the community of the 10th District of Paris, young and old, are really feeling it too. That's what's up! Geometry is a universal language, and bangin' color is crucial during the cold grey winters here (It snowed last night!). BIG Thanks to the Mayor of the 10th District for the green light on this one, Alexandre & Laurent for coordinating and assisting, and everyone else who came through and said "Whoa!" Stay tuned for a timelapse animation of the entire mural process, a video, and a bunch of behind the scenes photos from my art laboratory here in Paris. I am having so much fun, and it shows in the artwork. YES. Click-Zoom.

Plus d'aventures à Paris.

More random iPhone camera shots from meandering and adventuring around Paris. I've been working hard this week on my new Painting Series, and an XXL Mural next to the gallery. Really excited for this new series. My most cohesive and evolved work in this style yet. MWM : Crystals & Lasers opens to the public next Friday evening. RSVP. It's going to be great!

Paris Exhibition. Friday Night!

MWM : Crystals & Lasers.

10 Design Quotes : Visualized.

Last month I had the pleasure of working with longtime friends at Format Mag on this fun series - 10 Design Quotes : Visualized. Each Artist (Moxy, Brand Nu, 123 Klan, Si Scott, MCA, Justin Maller, Nick Bujnak, Gordon Reid, MWM Graphics, Rinzen) was asked to create a graphic to accompany a famous Art/Design quote. I was psyched to illustrate this Picasso scenario. Honest, Confident, and Timeless. Picasso is one of my heros. His ability to build and manage his personal brand (and prolifically make epic artwork) while he was alive is the reason why we all know his name now. The Business of Art. Real talk. Daps to Format, FreshBump, and all collaborators. It is a great set. Swing through and check it! Click-Zoom.

L'exploration Des Rues.

Le Laboratoire de l'art.

I've been working hard on this new series of canvas paintings for my Crystals & Lasers Exhibition : SINCE.upian Gallery (Paris, France). My process when working on paintings in this style is quite different than in my other work. Instead of working on one piece at a time, I work on the entire series at once, adding layers to each canvas and letting them dry as I work on the others. Maximum efficiency!
These shots are of paintings that aren't even close to completed, but I think it is interesting to see the evolution process. Stay tuned...

MWM X iPhone CaseMate.

Hyped for this! CaseMate's newest iPhone Case venture : iMakeMyCase.com. It is a whole lot of stuff all at once. On the surface, it's a fresh new iPhone Case Artist Series (Joshua Davis, Deanne Cheuk, Thomas Hooper, Matt W. Moore, Hannah Stouffer, Nigel Dennis, Anthony Yankovic, Ray Frenden, Chuck Anderson, Shadow Chen) with 3 exclusive cases from each artist. But the project is so much more. The website serves as a collaboration space between each artist and YOU, the customer. Each of us created a library of bits and pieces from our work that you can remix to create your own one-of-a-kind case. The possibilities are endless. The concept and functionality of the website is futuristic. Partake!
The 3 cases that I designed with my library of vector assets. Grab one of these if you don't want to make your own unique remix case.
Here's my library of vector bits for YOU to play with. Have fun!
Crazy futuristic, easy to use, and lots of fun. It's totally possible to spend hours playing around in search of your favorite remix combination. My favorite function is the spraycan that allows YOU to paint my multi-colored geometric designs or blue bubble clouds. YOU can also Colorize, Mirror Images, and create wild Kaleidoscopes. Go to iMakeMyCase.com now and see for yourself. Enjoy :)

PSFK : Good Ideas For 2010 Book.

I recently had the pleasure of working with PSFK on artwork for the new volume of their annual book - PSFK : Good Ideas For 2010. It was a fun project to work and the book turned out great. I went for the Work-In-Progress vibe and did some brainstorm sketching right over the clean vector design. I think it looks neat and is appropriate for this book that celebrates new ideas, innovation, progress, and creativity. Thanks Piers & Co. Always an honor. Click-Zoom.
"This isn’t a trend report. This is an inspiration piece. Piers and the team at PSFK looked through a lot of the posts we have published in the last year and we selected what we consider some of thee most engaging (and sometimes challenging) projects being created by artists, designers, developers and other amazing minds. It could be read by people in business, it could be read by a creative type, it could be read by your friends." Buy the Book.
