Featured. Untitled 8 Book.

Two pieces from the collaboration series I worked on with Spaceknuckle last year are featured in this years Untitled 8 Book. The book was part of the Bread & Butter Fashion Tradeshow in Barcelona last week, but copies are still available here. The KDU has a great presence in the book. More images.

On Display. ROJO Exhibition, Barcelona.

I am very pleased to announce that my work will be featured in Barcelona next month... on massive billboards around the city. I'll post photos as soon as the artwork is up. The exhibition was put together by the great folks at ROJO and sponsored by JB Scotch Whiskey (Big up to Scotland). The project is an awesome and honest collaboration. The perfect example of corporate sponsorship. JB has generously donated their 43 billboard spaces in Barcelona to ROJO artists for a month to have fun without rules. These are not ads, no headlines, no product shots. They are simply massive backlit artwork commissions. Art and design by: Chet Purtilar, Sosaku Miyazaki, MWM, Sakristan, Meomi, Albert Bertolin, Diva, Jon Burgerman, 310k, Evgeny Kiselev, Tofer, Cristiano Trindade, Jinyoung Shin, Sergei Sviatchenko, Zosen. RSVP for the Launch Party.

Montreal Biodome.

We cruised to Montreal Sunday to check out their Biodome and it is awesome. Everything you would expect and hope for in an urban wildlife park. The rainforest ecosystem is like a 2-acre sauna. 94 degrees and humid inside, 7 degrees and windy outside. A great mid-winter getaway. The Montreal Biodome.

MWM B:4 Preview.

My annual B&W ink illustration series is coming together nicely. This year I am using a similar process of wet and dry mediums on watercolor paper that I explored last year. So far, this series focuses on nature, textures, balance, geometry, conflict and contradictions. My goal is for each piece to stand strong alone, but more importantly, work seamlessly into the textless narrative that the entire series will become once complete. Previews: B:3, B:2, B:1.
